Here's some basic information about these data: This site is hosted by a company on the west coast (I'm in NYC). System status data (lights/powerheads/temp control) are replicated to this site from my home system every minute. Those entries are transient, so I have no logs going backward for system status. Current conditions (temp/ph/orp) are replicated every minute, and stored for future reporting. Entries older than 5 minutes are pruned down to one entry every 15 minutes.

The more technical: To gather these data I use the Neptune Systems AquaController II set to log to its internal memory every 15 minutes, connected via serial cable to a custom Java application I wrote (running on my nearby pc) which queries the controller for logged entries, system status (X10 on/off), and the tank conditions at that instant. This information is then transferred to this site care of some php scripts which log the data to a MySQL database. The graphs you see are then generated dynamically by some more custom php scripts and the gd graphics library.
